Family Communication Strategies in Addressing Economic Conflict Arising from "Bank Emok" Loans Among Housewives: A Case Study in Kampung Kebon Kelapa
Abstract
This study aims to examine family communication strategies in addressing economic conflicts arising from "Bank Emok" loans among housewives in Kampung Kebon Kelapa. The phenomenon of Bank Emok loans, which often targets housewives as the primary audience, creates economic pressure and household conflicts. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving in-depth interviews with affected families, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that effective communication strategies play a crucial role in mitigating conflicts. However, the study also finds that family communication itself becomes an obstacle in resolving conflicts. Therefore, it is hoped that families can better manage conflicts and develop healthy communication patterns to achieve economic balance and harmony within the household.
