PHONEMIC PROCESSES THAT OCCUR IN THE TWITTER SOCIAL NETWORK

Abstrak

Perkembangan bahasa di jejaring sosial melahirkan banyak bentuk yang menarik untuk dikaji. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan proses fonemik yang terjadi di jejaring sosial twitter. Penelitian yang merupakan jenis kualitatif ini menggunakan metode penelitian padan dan agih. Hasilnya, terdapat 8 proses fonemik yang terjadi di jejaring sosial twitter berupa zeronisasi (lima aferesis, empat sinkop, tiga apokop), empat metatesis, anaptiksis (dua protesis, tiga epentesis, lima paragog), dan empat netralisasi. Penulis cenderung menghilangkan fonem vokal /a/, /i/, dan /e/ sementara fonem vokal /u/ dan /o/ tidak banyak muncul, penambahan fonem terjadi pada fonem vokal /a/, ataupun fonem konsonan yang menjadi fonem akhir dalam sebuah kata.
