Exploring Feminist Values And Didactic Implications In The Wattpad “Miracle”
Abstract
The rapid development of digital applications has become increasingly popular among junior high school students, particularly in reading activities. The use of digital platforms enhances the practicality and effectiveness of the learning process. One prominent feature is e-books, which allow students to access reading materials online. Wattpad, as a digital reading application, provides a wide range of literary works, especially popular fiction, which can be accessed anytime and anywhere. However, it is necessary to examine the educational impact of such applications, particularly in terms of the values they convey. This study aims to analyze whether literary works available on Wattpad can contribute to educational outcomes, especially in instilling didactic values. The object of this research is a popular literary work entitled “Miracle.” The findings indicate that the work contains relevant didactic values for students, including moderate feminist values and the representation of women’s roles. These values can be utilized as a medium for learning and character development. Therefore, it can be concluded that Wattpad has the potential to serve as an educational tool through the transmission of literary values to junior high school students.
