PENGATURAN KONTEN INTERNET DALAM RANGKA PENCEGAHAN DAN PENANGGULANGAN RADIKALISME DI CYBERSPACE
Abstract
Freedom of expression and opinion is one of the human rights guaranteed by law. However, excessive expression is not good. The internet with its cyberspace allows the realisation of freedom of expression that exceeds the limits to make cyberspace a field for spreading radicalism. This research is a normative and empirical research. Freedom of expression and opinion is possible on the internet due to several reasons. First, there has been a shift in philosophy from the real world (wild-wild west) to cyberspace (wild-wild web); second, the possibility of cyber identity that causes people to be who they are and do what they do, without worrying about the restrictions that exist in the real world; and third, existing laws have not been able to completely resolve freedom of expression in cyberspace, especially the spread of radicalism. Therefore, a good understanding of the philosophy of cyberspace, ethics in using and communicating through the internet (in cyberspace), and the need for cooperation between all parties to prevent and overcome the spread of radicalism and participate in efforts to form an information-cultured society are needed.
