Peningkatan Agribisnis Kopi dengan Penyuluhan Kajian Kopi Robusta pada UMKM Berbulan dan UMKM Kopi Guwek Kecamatan Salem-Brebes

Abstrak

Abstract – Coffee is one of the leading commodities in Indonesia which is very interesting to explore further. In Indonesia, specifically in Salem District-Brebes Regency, as one of the coffee producing districts in Brebes Regency and as a coffee supplier in areas of the island of Java. The problems faced by a lack of understanding about the coffee plant have an impact on coffee quality and marketing management. Therefore, an extension program is needed to increase coffee farmers' understanding of running a coffee plantation agribusiness. Community Service Activities (PKM) were carried out by the Regional Superior Product Business Partner Empowerment (PMUPUD) service team at Jenderal Soedirman University and Bumiayu Peradaban University. This activity has the theme of Improving Coffee Agribusiness by providing Robusta Coffee Study Extension to Berbulan MSME and Guwek Kopi MSME, Salem-Brebes District using outreach in the form of sharing and discussion activities. Participants in the outreach activity were 39 participants consisting of Berbulan MSMEs and Kopi Gowek MSMEs, Salem District. The problem that occurs is a lack of understanding about coffee plants, such as how to plant them properly, how to maintain them and how to control coffee plant pests. The results of the extension activities from the initial test and final test of the understanding of the extension participants showed that there was an increase in the participants' understanding of how to properly deal with coffee plant pests.
