Generative AI Policy
- Authorship: AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors, as authorship implies responsibilities that only humans can fulfill.
- Prohibited Uses: Using AI to generate fabricated research data, results, or fictitious citations is typically prohibited.
- Image Integrity: Creating or altering images, figures, or artwork in submitted manuscripts using Generative AI is generally not permitted, except for basic adjustments like brightness or contrast that do not obscure information.
- Peer Review Confidentiality: Reviewers and editors are prohibited from using Generative AI to read, and/or evaluate, and uploading unpublished manuscripts to public AI platforms due to the risk of breaching confidentiality.
