Islamic Work Ethics and Professional Commitment: The Mediating Role of Organizational Commitment

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Islamic work ethics on professional commitment with organizational commitment as an intervening variable of bankers in Bank Syariah Bank location in Central Java. A questionnaire is used to collect the data, with a likert scale as measurement scale. The population used in this study was 106 people with characteristics of bankers who had worked for more than 1 year. Sample in this study is equal to the total population that is 106 samples. This research is using purposive sampling for sampling technique. By using path analysis, the results of the study show that Islamic work ethics have a positive and significant effect on the professional commitment of Sharia bankers Bank in Central Java, and organizational commitment mediates the influence of Islamic work ethics on the commitment of Sharia bankers in Cental Java.
