Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

General Rules

  1. Journal of International Islamic Business Studies (JIIBS) cannot accept an article if it is not the author's original work, has been published before (conference papers may be accepted if revised significantly), or is currently under consideration for publication in another journal.

  2. Manuscripts should consist of 5000-7000 words (including tables, figures, and references), although manuscripts exceeding 7000 words may be considered.

  3. Manuscripts must be written in English. Non-native speakers are strongly advised to have their articles proofread by a professional or an English-speaking colleague.

  4. Manuscripts should be formatted in 1 spacing, A4 paper size, 10-point Arial, and saved as a Word file. Authors are encouraged to use the provided template for precision.

  5. JIIBS only receives articles through our online submission system.


Specific Rules

Manuscripts submitted to JIIBS should consist of two parts:

I. TITLE PAGE

The title page should include the following headings, as detailed in the manuscript template:

  • Title: Should be specific, effective, and consist of no more than 20 words.

  • Author Name and Affiliation: Names, affiliations, and email addresses for all contributing authors must be provided.

  • Abstract: Written in English (max 200 words), informing the reader of the purpose, methods, findings, and values. No references allowed.

  • Keywords: Provide a maximum of 5 keywords representing the essentials of the article.

II. MAIN PAGE

The main body of the manuscript should contain:

  1. Introduction

  2. Literature Review

  3. Methods

  4. Results and Discussion

  5. Conclusion

  6. References


Citation and Artworks

  • Citation: Authors must use the "author-date-system" in accordance with JIIBS Citation Guidelines.

  • Artworks: High-quality illustrations are required. Tables and Figures must be numbered separately (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1) and given a title. Figures or tables from previously published work must be accompanied by written permission from the copyright holder.
