Abstract

Halal tourism become a new trend in Indonesia, driven by the country’s efforts to integrate Islamic culture and regulations into its tourism industry. The establishment of essential facilities and amenities catering to Muslim travelers is a key factor in the success of halal tourism. These facilities encompass places of worship, halal dining establishments, transportation options, and accommodations that cater to the specific needs of Muslim visitors. The aim of this study is to elucidate the fundamental principles of halal tourism. The methodology employed is a comprehensive literature review, utilizing journal articles, scholarly books, and any other relevant written materials pertaining to the subject matter. Subsequently, conclusions are drawn from the analyzed data to generate descriptive data. The results indicate that the core concept of halal tourism revolves around providing facilities and services that conform to the inclusive principles of Islamic law.
