PENGARUH JUMLAH NILAI EKSPOR, IMPOR DAN PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI TERHADAP NILAI TUKAR RUPIAH DI INDONESIA

Abstract

The strength or weakness of a country's economy can be seen through its reserves. Foreign exchange reserves are also an important factor to show that the country can carry out international trade activities. the availability of foreign exchange reserves in Indonesia is still small so that international payments cannot be made and causes a decline in the exchange rate due to a balance of payments deficit. Then the researcher will analyze exports, imports, and the rupiah exchange rate which are factors that affect Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves. This study aims to determine the effect of exports, imports, the rupiah exchange rate on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves, both simultaneously and partially in the period 2000 to 2019. Researchers tested multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that simultaneously exports, imports, and the rupiah exchange rate affect Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves. Partially, exports have a positive and significant effect on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves, the rupiah exchange rate has a significant positive effect on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves while imports have no effect on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves.
