Abstrak
Water pumps generally use a source of electricity from fossil fuels to generate electricity, one example is using electricity from the National Electric Company, one of the obstacles is a power outage which results in the water pump not being able to operate. To overcome this problem, by utilizing energy derived from sunlight captured by using solar panels as alternative energy to drive water pumps. The purpose of this research is to produce a water pump powered by sunlight and to find out the resulting water discharge and the time effectiveness of using the water pump. The method used in this study is experimental by installing a wireless remote control switch on the water pump which acts as a breaker/connector for the pump flow so that it can turn on and off up to a distance of 100 meters. This pump is equipped with a Controller 30 A output of 12 V with a tolerance value of ± 10% which functions to find the maximum power point due to weather changes so that the panel's maximum power point is according to conditions and a 12 V 60 A panel battery to back up the 12 V 180 Watt water pump. The panel used is 200 WP with a max power voltage of 21.2V and a max power current of 12.2 Ampere, a low voltage of 10.9 V, and a low current of 11.1 A. Based on research the panel pump produces an average water discharge at night of 1,411.032 L/hour with a voltage of 10.9 V and a day of 1,404.48 L/hour with a voltage of 12.9 V while the effectiveness of using the water pump at 12.00 WIB with the highest voltage of 21.2 V.
