Author Guidelines
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Authors should submit only manuscripts that have been carefully proofread. The manuscript is a scientific paper from research results or conceptual ideas. Written in English. It is original (no plagiarism) and has never been published in other media proven by Originality Statement.
WRITING RULES
The manuscript is written at least 4000-5000 words exclude title, abstracts and references. For more details see the prosiding template. Systematics of scriptwriting research results include:
- Title
The title uses an effective sentence with a maximum of 15 words, and its substance explains the proposed idea or the specific issue being studied.
- Identity of Author
Authors need to fill in their identity, email, and affiliation. The most common mistake for authors is to fill in only one author in the metadata but the manuscript file fills in multiple authors
- Abstract and Keywords
A brief summary of an article that provides an overview of the manuscript. Jurnal Dinamika Hukum requires the abstract to be written in 200–250 words, with its substance presented sequentially, covering the introduction, objectives, methods, results, conclusions, and suggestions. The abstract includes 3–5 keywords, which do not necessarily have to be taken from the title but should instead reflect the legal concepts used and the key terminologies that are dominantly repeated throughout the manuscript.
- Introduction
The manuscript shall contain a total word count ranging from 3,500 to 5,000 words, calculated from the introduction to the conclusion (excluding the title, abstract, and references). The introduction must provide a clear and systematic exposition of the background and justification for the study. This section should elaborate the issues reflected in the title by presenting relevant social facts and contextual conditions. It must also include precise definitions of key terms stated in the title, the objectives of the study, and the expected scholarly contribution to the international academic community. The proportion of the introduction shall not exceed 15% of the total manuscript. All citations shall strictly adhere to the IEEE referencing style and must be managed using a reference management tool, preferably Mendeley Desktop.[1][2][3][4]
- Method
The methodology section must clearly and systematically describe the research methods employed in the study. It should provide a detailed explanation of the data used, not merely the type of data, but also its substantive characteristics. This section must explain how the data were obtained, including the procedures, sources, and data collection techniques, as well as how the data were analyzed. The methodology shall be presented in a proportion not exceeding 10% of the total manuscript. This section must also explicitly acknowledge the limitations of the study.
- Result
The results section must present the data possessed by the author as the basis for advancing the findings of the study. All data presented in this section must exclude references derived from journals, conference proceedings, and books. The data must therefore consist of original materials collected by the author, such as interview excerpts and observational findings. For doctrinal or normative juridical manuscripts, the results shall present primary legal materials, including statutory regulations, court decisions, and other official legal documents.
Citations to other sources, such as institutional or NGO reports, news links for the explanation of cases or events, criminal statistics, and similar materials, are permitted where relevant. The author must provide a clear interpretation of the data presented, consistently aligned with the objectives of the study (research questions) as stated in the introduction. This section shall be written in a proportion not exceeding 20% of the total manuscript. Tables and figures shall be placed exclusively within this section.
- Discussion
The discussion section shall be limited to a maximum of two subsections. The discussion section elaborates the analytical dialogue between the findings presented in the results and the theoretical frameworks or concepts employed in the manuscript. This section shall be written in a proportion not exceeding 40% of the total manuscript.
- Conclusion
The conclusion section shall not be determined by the number of research objectives. It must contain two essential elements. The first is a comprehensive conclusion addressing all stated research objectives. The second is a clear articulation of the original ideas or contributions proposed by the article. This section shall be written in a proportion not exceeding 10% of the total manuscript
- Ackowledgement (Optional)
Authors may express appreciation to parties that have provided financial support for the research or contributed assistance in the preparation of the manuscript.
- References
The bibliography must be prepared using a reference management tool, preferably Mendeley Desktop, and must strictly follow the IEEE referencing style. The manuscript shall include a minimum of 20 references, of which at least 80% must consist of journal articles or conference proceedings published within the last five years. Citations of journal articles and conference proceedings must include a DOI. Statutory regulations are excluded from the bibliography.
