ANALISIS USAHA TERNAK AYAM BROILER KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMAN (STUDI KASUS NOVIA AGUSTIN FARM)

Abstrak

Broiler chicken farming is a high-risk business due to fluctuations in production input prices, particularly the cost of day-old chicks (DOC) and feed, which have been rising consistently every year. This study aims to examine the business profile, analyze income and profit, and assess the feasibility of the broiler chicken farming business of Novia Agustin Farm located in V Koto Timur District, Padang Pariaman Regency. The research was conducted from November to December 2025 using a qualitative descriptive approach and case study method. Primary data were collected through direct observation and interviews with the business owner and farm worker, while secondary data were obtained from BPS and BPP of V Koto Timur District. The results showed that Novia Agustin Farm was established in 2018 with an initial capital of IDR 400,000,000 and operates under a partnership system with PT Ciomas Adisastwa. In one rearing cycle, the farm produced a total of 13,931.60 kg at a selling price of IDR 23,520.00 per kilogram, generating total revenue of IDR 327,671,232.00. Total production costs amounted to IDR 302,579,095.29, with income of IDR 25,629,465.60 and a net profit of IDR 25,092,136.71. The business feasibility analysis showed an R/C Ratio of 1.08, indicating that the business is viable as each unit of cost generates revenue greater than production costs. This is further supported by a B/C Ratio of 0.08, confirming that the business still generates positive profit for the owner.
