Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

INITIAL SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPT

 The article is the result of research in public health. Articles must be written in English. Submitted manuscripts must meet all the specifications of the Indonesian Public Health Journal. Manuscripts that not suitable with the specifications of the Indonesian Public Health Journal will be immediately rejected. Manuscripts that are retained to undergo the review process for potential publication in the Journal will be submitted to the editor and reviewer. Authors will be notified immediately if their manuscript needs reformatting and will be given 14 days to make specific changes.

Manuscript File Format:

All manuscripts must be submitted in Word document format. The manuscript submission system can be seen athttp://jos.unsoed.ac.id/index.php/kesmasindo/

ARTICLE SYSTEMATICS

  1. Title
    1. The title written in English describes contents of the manuscript clearly and concisely
    2. The number of words in the title is 5-20 words
    3. The title is written with the first letter of each word capitalized and then the next letter written in lowercase
    4. Font 12 Times New Roman Bold with 1 space
    5. The title does not contain abbreviations or formulas
  2. Author's identity
    1. Listed without an academic degree and placed under the article title.
    2. Under the author's name, the author's agency is listed.
    3. Authors are advised to include their e-mail address and cellphone number to for communication.
  3. Abstract
      1. written in English (maximum 200 words)
      2. Write one paragraph
      3. Describe the contents of the articlewhich includes introduction, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions
      4. Times New Roman font size 10, 1 spacing
      5. Keywords consist of 3-5 wordsseparated by commas. Alphabetical order of keywords.
      6. Do not use abbreviations in the abstract
  4. Introduction
    1. Written in paragraph form with a length of 15 - 20% of the length of the article
    2. The introduction contains the research background, research objectives, states the urgency of the research by presenting a review of previous research results, it is recommended that they come from research journals, both national and international journal references.

    4. There are no typos, spelling errors or standard sentences
  5. Method
    1. Methods for research manuscripts
      1. written without subtitles explaining the research design, population and sample, sampling methods, data collection methods and data analysis techniques as well as ethical clearance.
      2. The length of writing research methods is 10-15% of the total length of the article.
      3. Written using Times New Roman font size 12, 1.5 spacing.

    2. Methods for review manuscripts
      1. contains types of literature review approaches, literature search strategies, inclusion/exclusion criteria, how to obtain articles, review methods (article classification, data recording sheets), data presentation.
      2. Written using Times New Roman font size 12, 1.5 spacing.
      3. There are no typos, spelling errors or standard sentences
  6. Results and Discussion
    1. Results
      1. contains a description of the research results presented briefly and clearly. Can be assisted with tables, pictures/photos, graphs. Discussion is an explanation, interpretation of research results that are linked to theory or related research results.
      2. Tables are single-spaced and numbered sequentially according to their presentation in the text. Images, photos or formulas must be original, each illustration has a caption. Image captions consist of a short title (not on the image itself) and a description of the illustration. Write briefly the text in the illustration, but explain all the symbols and abbreviations used.
      3. Length 40-60% of the total length of the article
      4. Display the results of data analysis clearly, using tables, graphs, pictures

    2. Discussion
      1. The discussion is written after the results, contains an argumentative discussion of the findings and adequately answers the research questions and explores matters related to the research objectives and is compared/harmonized with the results of other research presented in connection with references from theoretical references and journals.
  7. Conclusion
    1. contains a narrative and concise statement related to the results to answer the research objectives

  8. Thank-you note
    1. Thanks are expressed to the institutions and/or parties that assisted the research and the research funders.

  9. Bibliography
    1. contains sources that are referred to and written in alphabetical order with the writing procedure: author's name, year, title, edition/volume, publisher, city of publication
    2. The bibliography is written using the Harvard system with publications from a maximum of the last 5 years from the year of publication.
    3. Bibliography of at least 15 references for research manuscripts/minimum 25 references for study/review manuscripts.
    4. Minimum article references from journals, both national and international journals, must be at least 80% of the entire bibliography. A complete written bibliography is referred to in the article and it is recommended to use a reference manager such as the Mendeley application, end notes and others.
