Peer Review Process

Every article submitted to JUSS (Jurnal Sosial Soedirman) will first undergo an Initial Review by the editor to assess its suitability with the journal's focus and scope, originality, and compliance with the journal's submission guidelines.

Manuscripts that pass the initial review will be sent to qualified peer reviewers through a Double-Blind Peer Review Process, in which the identities of both the authors and reviewers are kept confidential. Each manuscript will generally be evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the field of the submitted manuscript.

The reviewers will evaluate the manuscript based on its substantive and technical aspects, including the originality and significance of the research, theoretical foundation, methodology, analysis and discussion, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the journal's focus and scope.

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor will make the final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript. Manuscripts requiring revision will be returned to the authors for revision and may be subject to further review when necessary.

The peer review and editorial process typically takes approximately three months, depending on the review process, reviewer availability, and the revisions required.

The peer review process is conducted to ensure the quality, originality, academic integrity, and relevance of articles published in JUSS (Jurnal Sosial Soedirman). The journal publishes issues twice a year, in April and November.
