Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of gender, age, distance, working hours, and length of experience on scavengers' income at Bantargebang Final Disposal and to examine the variables that most influence scavengers' income at Bantargebang Final Disposal. The data used are primary data obtained from informants through questionnaires. The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression, using the classical assumption test, F test and t test.Research results, jointly gender, age, distance, working hours, and length of experience have a significant effect. Then gender, working hours, and length of experience had a significant positive effect, and age had a significant negative effect on scavenger income at Bantargebang Final Disposal. Then the age variable is the variable that most influences the income of scavengers in Bantargebang Final Disposal. The implications of the conclusions above are the need for assistance and the government's role regarding waste recycling technology, providing assistance in the form of work protective clothing/equipment, as well as business capital assistance to scavengers so that they earn additional income, so that scavenger income can be even higher.
