The Journal of Keperawatan Soedirman (JKS) applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted articles to support the costs of editorial management, peer review, copyediting, typesetting, online hosting, and long-term digital archiving.

The APC is only charged after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. Authors are not required to pay any submission fee.

The current APC rates are as follows:

Indonesian Authors: IDR 3,000,000 per accepted article

International Authors: USD 200 per accepted article

APC Discount for International Authors

JKS offers a partial APC discount for manuscripts in which the first author is affiliated with an institution outside Indonesia.

Eligible authors may request the APC discount during the initial manuscript submission process. Each request will be reviewed by the editorial office and granted in accordance with the journal’s APC policy.

Requests for APC discounts must be submitted during submission and cannot be applied after the manuscript has been accepted.

Waiver Policy

In special circumstances, the journal may consider requests for APC waivers or additional discounts. Authors who wish to request a waiver should contact the editorial office with a clear explanation of their circumstances.

All waiver requests will be evaluated by the editorial office and are subject to approval based on the journal’s policy and available resources.

Payment Procedure

After a manuscript is accepted for publication, the corresponding author will receive an email notification containing the APC payment instructions.

The article will proceed to the production stage once the APC payment has been confirmed.

Important Notes

APC payments do not influence editorial decisions.

All manuscripts undergo the same peer-review and editorial process regardless of the authors’ ability to pay.

Editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific quality and merit of the manuscript.
