Journal of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering (JIMIEN) covers theoretical and application-oriented research in a wide range of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering. JIMIEN is an open-access peer-reviewed National journal published by the Department of Industrial Engineering Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. The journal publishes mainly original research papers but also reviews and professional articles. Papers for publication are selected through peer reviewing to ensure originality, relevance, and readability. All paper can be submitted in Bahasa or English . This journal is published two times a year. The open-access policy of the journal provides authors with several advantages, including increased visibility of the articles to a global reader.

JIMIEN is a Journal published online twice a year in December and June.

All paper can be submitted in Bahasa or English.
Article Processing Charges
Every article submitted to JIMIEN will not have any Article Processing Charges. This includes submitting, peer-reviewing, editing, publishing, maintaining, and archiving and allows immediate access to the full-text versions of the articles.
Peer Review Process
Every manuscript that goes assessed by the following rules:
- The authenticity of its contribution to the field of scientific publishing, methodological and theoretical reliability is taken in accordance with topics, coherence analysis, grammar and writing in accordance with existing rules.
- Each manuscript submitted by the author, will do double blind peer review.
- Each article will be reviewed by a minimum of two reviewers.
- The article will be accepted at least recommended by two reviewers and with permission from the editor.
- The principle of recruitment of reviewers has at least written scientific journals as the first author, or a member of the author on three of articles, both publications of accredited national-scale scientific journals and international-scale scientific journal publications.
- Any incoming paper will be checked by the section editor, if it does not match the scope of the Register, it will be returned for rejection, so if there are things that do not match the regularized style, then the paper will be returned to the author, if it is appropriate With a regularized style of JIMIEN, it will be assigned to reviewers.
- The process of reviewing a paper using a double blind method involving a minimum of two reviewers who have been selected by a section editor, if between reviewers there are conflicting decisions, it will be additional reviewers to decide whether the article is accepted or rejected.
The average review process takes 4 to 8 weeks. Authors are encouraged to actively monitor OJS and cooperate throughout the process.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
This journal is open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to users or institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full text articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or author. This is in accordance with Budapest Open Access Initiative

Copyright
Author is the copyright holder of each paper/article that has been published in the Journal of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering (JIMIEN). The readers are allowed to download, use and adopt the content of the article as long as they cite the article by mentioning its title, authors, and name of this journal. Such citation is done for the sake of science and humanity development and should not violate the applicable law.
Plagiarism Policy
"PLAGIARISM" can occur in two forms: 1) author(s) intentionally copy someone elses work and claim it as their own, or 2) author(s) copy her or his own previously published material either in full or in part, without providing appropriate references - also called as "self-plagiarism" or "duplicate publication".
Plagiarism before publication
The Journal of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering (JIMIEN) will judge any case of plagiarism on its own merits. If plagiarism is detected, either by the editors, peer reviewers or editorial staff at any stage before publication of a manuscript - before or after acceptance, during editing or at page proof stage, we will alert the author(s), asking her or him to either rewrite the text or quote the text exactly and to cite the original source. If the plagiarism is extensive- that is, if at least 20% of the original submission is plagiarized - the article may be rejected and the author's institution/employer notified.
When is plagiarism check done?
Every manuscript submitted for publication to any journal published by Journal of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering (JIMIEN) is checked for plagiarism after submission with Turnitin Software and after being sent to an editor for editorial review.
How is plagiarism check done?
Journal of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering (JIMIEN) uses Turnitin Software to detect instances of overlapping and similar text in submitted manuscripts. Turnitin is an entirely browser-based web service that verifies the authenticity of documents.
Plagiarism
It may happen that the manuscript is not freely accessible to article indexing services due to restrictions by programmers, journals or publishers; or it is available on the journal website but not yet indexed by article indexing services. In such cases when plagiarism check is done the content of the manuscript being checked can not be compared to the original manuscript due to restrictions and plagiarism will not be detected.
Publication Ethics
Publication ethics in Journal of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering (JIMIEN) refer to COPE (Commitee on Publication Ethics) and Peraturan Kepala LIPI Nomor 5 Tahun 2014.
This statement explains the ethical conduct expected from all parties involved in article publication in this journal, which include authors, reviewers, editorial boards, and publishers.
Publications Ethics Guidelines
Article publications in scientific journals, such as Journal of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering (JIMIEN), is essential in science and technology advancement. Journal publication reflects the authors’ work quality and the supporting institutions. Hence it is imperative to have a standard agreement for all parties involved in any publication activities. This includes authors, reviewers, editors, publishers and the public in general.
Fakultas Teknik under the coordination of Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (LPPM UNSOED) as the publisher of Journal of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering (JIMIEN) is responsible for all stages of publishing. The Department of Industrial Engineering of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, is a fostering body for the Board of Editors and ensures that editors involved in this publication are of highest quality in journal administration. The Department of Industrial Engineering and LPPM UNSOED are committed to ensuring that advertisements, reprints, or other commercial income have no influence whatsoever on the editor's decision The Department of Industrial Engineering and LPPM UNSOED will facilitate communication with related parties (writers or other journals) when needed.
Publication Decision
The chief editor of Journal of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering (JIMIEN) is resposible to make decisions whether to accept or reject submitted manuscripts. The Board of Editors’ activities are guided and regulated by a policy which complies to legal provisions, such as with regard to defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The Board of Editors seek to ensure that the published works are not work of plagiarism. The editors may communicate with the reviewers and the editors of other journals in making this decision.
The editorial board always strives to ensure that every article published in Journal of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering (JIMIEN) has been through a peer review process to ensure the quality to contribute to science and education.
Fair Play
The editors evaluate each submitted manuscript based on its intellectual content, regardless of race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship or political philosophy of the authors.
Privacy Policy
The editors and any editorial staff will not disclose any information about the submitted manuscript to any party other than the authors, reviewers, or other personnels who are in the Board of Editors and the publisher.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interests
Author(s) should notify the editors if there is a substantive conflict of interest in the publication process. Rejected manuscripts will not be used as the editors’ or reviewers’ research material without proper agreement with the author(s).
The reviewer’s responsibility
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions. Reviewers can assist authors in improving script quality through editorial communication with authors.
Readiness
Any reviewer selected but unwilling or incapable of reviewing within a specified time, should notify the editor and resign from the review process.
Confidentiality
Any submitted manuscript for review should be treated as a confidential document. They may not be displayed or discussed with others except as authorized by the editors.
Standard of Objectivity
Reviews should be performed as objective and unbiased as possible. Reviewers do not give critiques related to the author's personal. Reviewers should express their views clearly with supportive, logical, and engaging arguments.
Source Acknowledgment
The reviewers must identify relevant publications that have not been cited by the author. Any observational statements, derivations, or arguments previously written elsewhere must be accompanied by relevant citations. The reviewer shall also notify the editor of any substantial or overlapping similarity between the manuscript being reviewed and any other published manuscripts.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interests
Confidential information or ideas obtained through the review process should be kept confidential and not used for personal gain. Reviewers should not review the manuscript if they have conflict of interest(s) because of competition, collaboration, or other relationships with any of the authors, companies, or institutions associated with the author(s).
The author's responsibility
Reporting
The author must present an accurate report of the research conducted. The manuscript should contain enough details and references to allow others to copy the work. A fraudulent or intentionally inaccurate report is unethical and unacceptable conduct.
Data Access and Retention
Authors are required to provide raw data in relation to the manuscript if requested. The author must be prepared to inform the public of the data, if possible. The author(s) shall in any case retain such data for a reasonable time after publication.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that they have written an original work, and if the author has used the work of others, then the information about that work of others must be correctly quoted or referred to.
Concurrent Publication and Simultaneous Submission
A writer should not publish essentially the same manuscript in more than one major journals or publication. Submitting essentially the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time is unethical unacceptable conduct.
Contribution to the manuscript
The inclusion of an author in the list of authors should be limited to those who have contributed significantly to the concept, design, implementation, or interpretation of reported research. Anyone who has made a significant contribution should be listed as the first author and co-author (second, third, and so on). Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research activity, they must be recognized or registered as one of the authors. Each author shall ensure that all persons whose names are written as authors make an appropriate contribution and that each author has seen and approved the final version of the manuscript and has agreed to publish the manuscript.
Dangers to Humans or Animals
If the work involves chemicals, procedures or equipment that have an unusual hazard inherent in their use, the authors should mention in the article / manuscript that standard safety procedures have been taken.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interests
Author(s) should notify the editors if there is a substantive conflict of interest, including financial conflicts that may be considered to affect the outcome or interpretation of their results. All sources of financial support for the research activities should be disclosed.
Fundamental errors in the published works
When an author discovers significant errors or inaccuracies in his/her published articles, the author is obliged to immediately notify the journal editor or publisher and work with the editor to retract or correct the article through an amendment process.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
