Abstract

ABSTRAK


The purpose of this study is to find out that early marriage has an impact on the parenting style given to children. This research uses This research uses qualitative method in-depth perspective in order to find the detailed and completed data. The data collection uses interviews to get in-depth information.


The research concludes that early marriage has an impact on the parenting styles given to children. The actual parenting process requires a lot of understanding and mental readiness, it is neglected when those who carry out the parenting styles are still in their teens, “bocah momong bocah”.  The compulsion of maturity makes the parenting process not fully carried out by themselves, but assisted by the perpetrators’ of early marriage parents. The care provided by early marriage actors also has an impact on children's growth, how children adapt to all circumstances in their sphere of life.


The implications of this study for families and communities should be willing to learn from previous experiences and understand that early marriage will have a negative impact on survival after marriage. Sacred marriages are carried out with mature mental readiness, in order to have a family that can maintain harmony and minimize conflict. The Government's efforts to reform the Marriage Law, which was officially amended to reduce the rate of early marriage, which clearly had a negative impact from the perspective of mental readiness to health impacts.
