The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative using literary ecocriticism theory as a literature review. The findings in this research refer to the damage to the river contained in the short story Bidadari Serayu by Sungging Raga. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that the form of damage to the river contained in the short story Bidadari Serayu by Sungging Raga, has resulted in public concern and the problem of changing the color of the river water. Changes in water color disrupt the ecosystem in the Serayu river. Damage to river water is a form of ecological damage that has a detrimental impact on the sustainability of the surrounding ecosystem.
